For those tracking this plane and others in real time, I don't think any military aircraft that may be also following him close by will be displayed on Flight aware, etc.

Left turns are easier to do from the pilot's seat on the left hand side of the aircraft, hence most traffic patterns at airports are "left hand" patterns unless there is a nearby obstruction like a mountain or cliff face that would make a right hand pattern necessary.
