I still have my Super Nintendo to this day. Still works too. Just gotta blow into the cartridge and slam it in the system a couple times

Two months later the nintendo was under the tree for Xmas.
My family did that shite once or twice. My Godparents would get me a Christmas gift that was useless until I got my birthday present from either them or my parents in March.
It was never cool. I went from being confused and sad to it being a wasted surprise when I figured it out. They changed it up to doing it on the same occasion, but still in the order of "WTF" then "Oh, yay!"

Love this. Pretty sure I got the NES for a bday (had to be 6th or so) as I remember finding out there was no santa claus by going in my parents closet and finding Roger Clemens' MVP baseball that was being put up for Christmas. I confirmed my suspicious by allowing my parents to continue the ruse and putting the game under the tree as though it was from SC.
My dad played tecmo baseball and tecmo bowl on it more than I did. Tecmo Super Bowl was the GOAT to me. I had Randall Cunningham and Fred Barnett eating up defenses. Was even an Eagles fan until they disrespected T.O.

NES was the GOAT. Mike Tyson's punchout, excite bike, mario, zelda, others kept me entertained for days. Like some others mentioned, my sister and I stayed up all night the we got it.

As the youngest kid, I only got to play it when no one else wanted to.
