A certain segment of the population didn't learn this mantra as kids, obviously. Gunfire and stabbings are their answer to the "hurt" of words.

Another favorite they didn't learn: I'm rubber and you're glue. Whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you.

Perhaps this is what they should be learning in grammar school. Along with "no brakes," of course.

Anyone that thinks words are "violence", never really experienced violence. Once you do, you know words don't hurt at all, violence on the other hand...

Reminds me of a joke:

A fellow was in a bar, complaining to the bartender about his wife. He says, "My wife stays on my case to do everything around the house."

The bartender answers, "So your wife is a nagger."

The guy says, "No, she's a little white girl from Oklahoma."

Why are you still picking on the sheriff of a particular parish?

I have a personal mantra that I am "uninsultable"

You cannot hurt my feelings.

I might go Rambo is someone hurts my family or friends, but words? Nah, that's weak.
