She sang like a 70 year old chain smoker. Linda Ronstadt blows her doors off.

she had a pretty voice when she wanted to, but the song writer always gets a pass on having not the greatest singing voice when they write great songs, Bob Dylan isn't exactly a crooner

She could definitely sing her.arse off!

She mustn’t have done much singing in the 1990’s because her arse got pretty big. Fine in her prime, though.

Saw her when I lived in Newport Beach in the 90's...She was so messed up she forgot all the words and hummed half the songs...It was pitiful.

Speaking of humming....she was dating a chick in the house next to mine. The woman was an illustrator for Disney and did not keep this a secret. Stevie showed up on the regular in a stretch limo to pick her up...Nicks lived her life back then not giving too many fricks what others thought.

With that said, she got Lindsay Buckingham kicked out of that band a few years back for some pretty dumb bullshite. Its time to let it go.

I think there's a lot going on there though. Lindsey Buckingham is insanely talented. But he's also an insane a-hole and the rest of them were not up for another year of touring with him actively being a prick to them.

everyone one of them basically said they had to get away from her or die from the drugs, sex and partying.

Nix was as hardcore as anyone back in the day. When Fleetwood Mac leased Hitler’s old train for a tour, she would take cocaine anally in her sleeper car because she’d worn a hole inside her nose from snorting.

typical in a rock band but there was plenty of that going around in all directions in that band

I saw The Pretenders a few years ago.

The epitome of sex, drugs and rock and roll.

Guitarist and bassist died within a year of each other in 82-83 to drug related issues.

Their best song was about Chrissie getting gang banged by bikers.

Knicks never wrote anything that even approached some of Dylan's work, voices aside.

Her music wasn't worth killing babies. She thinks it was. I don't.

Yep. Lindsey Buckingham did the right thing noping out of that puss. She's getting old and haggard, no kids and no family just memories of her cocaine days 50 years ago. Her extreme copes over loving her abortions are just sad as well (reminds me of Chelsea Handler).

Great music, horrendous personal life she'll get to reminisce over in the nursing home alone while wearing depends.

She used to visit Walter Reed and give away Ipods to the injured vets there.
This was back in the day when things like that weren't always publized the nsnosecond they happened.
She liked the coke a little too much.
She's AOK in my book.

Carlos Sanatana is playing a show where I am this August. Think I'll go check him out before it's too late to do so.

I like them both but it definitely falls into the "ears of the beholder" category, they're both entertainers, not prophets, spiritual leaders, or "conscious of their generations"
