He is 70 years old so he should be graded on a curve but... Without that much makeup on, and when wearing his Aerosmith robe, he looks more like an old bag lady than anything else.

There's only one logical explanation, IMHO. Here's the list:
1) great DNA, great genes
2) cosmetic surgery; every public figure does it
3) he must have reformed his unhealthy lifestyle some decades ago and started to take good care of his health. And we shouldn't underestimate the hard work that he puts into this.
