Cars stuck and blocking lanes and causing lines of traffic. It’s causing issues for emergency vehicles and Entergy trucks. It’s so damn frustrating. I have some neighbors out with a tractor trying to clear limbs off of our road, and they are currently working around an abandoned car. We saw the car get stuck, and by the time we got to it to offer help, the driver had walked away on foot. People have lost all common sense up here

Meh. Just let them figure it out on their own and let the cold arse and wrecker bill be a lesson.
Unless, they hit a pole and take out power. Then, fine the shite out of them.

Front wheel drive car with decent all season tires can handle most winter weather conditions.
Lol did that in Anchorage once after a warmup followed by a hard freeze in a rental when I was coming in for a conference from rural AK.
It sucked 100% would not recommend.
But yes, in general if you are good cautious driver...this is the case

The ice is so deep right at that main intersection, vehicles are getting high centered. My son (in his 4WD heavy truck) pulled multiple people out yesterday right around Keystone/ Hwy 134 and that intersection. He finally just had to stop because it would have been never ending. Entergy had a line of trucks trying to go north on 165 a mile or two south of that intersection and they were at a standstill because of vehicles stuck and being in the way.
Nightmare
Preparedness and lack of nosiness would help. Sometimes you just have to let people learn the hard way.

Next year it’ll be non Tesla FSD vehicles on ice.
I assume his is the AWD dual motor Tesla though I don’t recall him saying so.
There were alot of videos on X this weekend of Teslas using FSD on the ice. One was of a guy intentionally trying to get the car to slide off the road. Was constantly amazed at how well FSD handled the ice.
I didn't get out Sunday, but I took mine around on Monday to test it. There wasn't much ice except on bridges, so it wasn't much of a test.
