It is pretty silly, but that is the only angle I could think of. Even mediocre black athletes are honored though. You don't hear about it often, but they do.
It's a retarded topic really. It could be as simple as Romo is good friends with Cuban.

People make a living out of making non-race related situations, a race-related situation. It's really sad.

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson formed the template for it, and thousands now follow it.

Emmitt Smith is a bigger god in Dallas than Romo. Its just that the Mavericks didn't do embarrassing shite like that when Emmitt retired.

This has a lot more to do with jerry bones, the cowboys hype machine, and the fact that Dallas has nothing to celebrate recently football wise.

But yeah good luck finding an average black QB that would get all this love

Yalls examples keep showing me that yall don't get it.

Stop comparing Romo to HOFers. Romo had a good career but he is nit a HOFer.

Bernard King is a HOFer -- would he get that treatment.

Michael Finley and Steve Nash were great in Dallas --- would they?

STOP COMPARING ROMO TO HALL OF FAME BLACK PLAYERS. All you're doing is proving his point.

All it takes is being average or good as a white player to get celebrated as a king. A black player has to be once in a generation good.

This is the epitome of privilege and what id deem "make averageness great again." #maga

TOP COMPARING ROMO TO HALL OF FAME BLACK PLAYERS
Deuce is my favorite saints player of all time. And I would say he is top 5 on almost everyone's favorite players list.

We made him a motherfricking honorary player for a week so he could lead us out the tunnel in the NFC championship game.

Would you like to have a rebuttal? Because I just owned your arse

And before Tuesday, we had never seen any athlete treated that way.

Wah!!!

Also, I don't get it. As they said on the LeBatard show yesterday, Romo was treated like a 6 year old kid having his Make A Wish come true. Is that really what Stephen A is freaking out about, that unbelievable honor bestowed upon Romo?

That had to do with the Mav's owner and not the league.
