Car companies have learned that idiots will pay whatever they charge. As long as that happens, this will continue.
Neighbor just bought a bronco and couldn't stop talking about the sasquatch package. Marketing to stupid people always wins.

What’s a fair price for a 4 door rubicon right now? Should I ask for 8% off the MSRP?

they are very easy to work on and also modify if you like. It would only be a high maintenance cost if you cannot work on cars
If we're speaking about 20 year old wranglers of course. Ain't nobody paying 60k for that.

People will still line up for this. 96 months financing!
I ran a parking garage the other day at the local university. The amount of new cars was a bit surprising. But they can't pay their school loans.

It is all in there

You can get 7% under Invoice from many dealers. That would be close to 10% under MSRP. Just take the MSRP and multiply by 0.10 to get rough amount off.

No, any JK is real easy to work on. The JLs added more crap, but easy access to most stuff. If you get the turbo 4 cyl, hybrid or diesel it will get more complicated. The 3.6 pentastar has been out for a long time and their are plenty of videos for maintenance work for those.

That is what kills me, Wranglers are by far not $60K rides. I could see the 392 getting there. The engine is around $5000 more retail than the 3.6 and they beefed up other components to handle the HP of the 392. Loaded our Wranglers in the $50K can be justified, but not $60-70K.

Jeep prices are so comical, a well equipped Rubicon Wrangler is pushing $70k

Said it before and I'll say it again....this industry is due for a major price correction. But the idiots need to stop paying for these over inflated prices.

High Altitude? I dont want my Jeep off the ground.
High Elevation makes more sense.

I just replaced the fabric door on my 2001 Wrangler and it took me an hour (half of that was cursing). Just wanted to vent. Carry on....

They are upscaling. Sure they will sell fewer vehicles, but will get more per vehicle and increase profits per vehicle.

Have they fixed the rust issues on the JL if not stay for away.
I was stupid and bought a 2018 and not long after I bought it I kept seeing post about rust. well now i am fighting jeep to fix it. they didn't prep them correctly but somehow its the owners fault not theres.

I didn't know you could get a Wrangler with a 392cid motor. That's pretty cool.

In theory, but they have a dedicated plant that is designed to produce X amount of Wranglers a day. Any deviation from that will impact employment of people.
You are correct though, this is the Stellantis plan to bring in electrification and make it more "European".
RAM is even a bigger cluster.

I like leasing vehicles and got in early on the 4xe and got a 67k wrangler for around 300 a month. the very first people doing it were below 300.
might try and buy it out and sell it if it makes sense and I can make a few dollars.
after about a year in the wife was tired of driving it because it was too loud on the interstate.

Hopefully your lone downvote was a mistake, that was pretty good.
