I always get Nebraska and Iowa mixed up. Just never sounds right that Nebraska and Wyoming border each other.

For me it's Oklahoma and New Mexico

Being from Wisconsin, I completely forget we share borders with Iowa. All the hate goes towards MN and IL, that Iowa is forgotten.

Not a state, but France's longest border is with Brazil

I never understood why Wisconsin doesn't just take that from Michigan
Yoopers have threatened to form their own state.
They don't have much in common with lower Michigan.

Tennessee and Georgia.
Since UT has long since forgotten how to make it to the SECCG in Atlanta, Tennessee might as well be on the other side of the country.

When I travel to NC (especially western NC) from northwest GA, I cross that border. I refuse to deal with Atlanta area traffic.

Ohio and West Virginia.
They have a pretty sizable border to not think of them as border states.

Not a state border but many don’t realize New Hampshire borders the ocean and actually has decent beaches
I 95 really just has about 10 miles of NH coastline. Beautiful area.
Unnecessarily Progressive/Liberal AF but great.

If we’re ranking towns/cities in NC that belong in the SEC, Chapel Hill is probably dead last

Much of West Virginia’s population is along or close to the Ohio border

Aren't there a few instances where a state border was set based on a river and then the river "moved" resulting in an island parcel of land that still belongs to a state but is now cutoff from the rest of it?
