Agreed, and that's as it should be. The problem is not the arse blasting, the problem is the cancel culture.

Today's culture is certainly more sensitive, it seems, but I'm not sure if that it more perception based off how quickly information gets dispersed these days.
Perception plays a factor, but the prevailing issue of people facing loss of career, position in academia, or otherwise due to simply stating opinions, a number of which aren't even particularly controversial, is the real concern. It is a sort of lynch mob, but without the physical loss of life. It instead targets one's livelihood and the like. The reason a 'silent majority' has become a thing is not due to the majority just being naturally quiet. It is because a number of them are legitimately scared to speak up because they don't want to lose their job in the current state of American culture.

On Staten Island we called it a “dash”.

The real question is do they call the apostrophe the "comma to da top".

The message is very clear a shot at the ‘white privilege’ mantra & pointed around blacks
Here on the OT only the most blatant racism counts. Lazily disguised racism is met with sarcastic questions demanding how anyone could label such things racist.

I know a few teachers who are not looking forward to going back to work in August because of shite like this. Kids have questions, as an educator you can't answer honestly and if you deny/don't answer then the parents make accusations. It's a no win situation for many educators, not to mention schools are changing curriculum to remove certain parts of history

Tdu the teacher reform is right around the corner we know it is never their fault when it comes to failure. Blame the cops and now the teachers those youths just don’t stand a chance

No they don't

if she was a nurse or saleswoman or anything else, nobody would care about her stupid meme

an educator sharing something that implies she might have some animosity towards certain demographics isn't ever going to go over well

I know teachers are hated on this board but with shitty parents it isn't easy. If every child had parents who cared you would see exceptional scores which is why private schools work. Not only are they learning at home but they are growing in the classroom and continuing to learn. Which is how it was for most of us.

Even the hyphenated last name nutjobs are catching on. There may still be some hope for us after all!

Trust me I get what you are saying. I raised 3 kids and have seen what happens when the parent/ parents say no fuqs given when it comes to their child’s education. This has nothing to do with the color of skin either.

The people of whom Deborah is talking feel no shame. They aren’t accustomed to looking inward. They can’t possibly be expected to see how their chronically poor decision making is keeping them looking for handouts.

No. They’ll read this truth, and lash out at the messenger, and get her fired. That’ll improve their financial status. Rinse and repeat.

So she's in hot water for offering factual examples of common problems in a certain sector of society?

They will take to Twitter where the libards and sjw’s band together with their influencers and denounce every person that disagrees with their stupidity.

Can’t wait til November when the sky screamers will be at it for another four years.

You're literally describing a social "dogwhistle". We know what this was about. You know what it's about. The writer knows what it's about.

Find it hilarious that every single person in this thread immediately knew who she was referring to, yet some think she's the problem. WOW!
