Of course she does. Let's take a state that's hemorrhaging jobs and make it more expensive to do business here. Let's double the minimum wage. I'm guessing she's not an economist.

The whole reason she is pissed is because she didn’t want to go back to work
FB post from Saturday

The Louisiana legislature is supposed to go into session this Monday, May 4.
I am still on the fence about attending. Why? I don’t think we and the staff will be safe. Those of us with family and districts who are at higher risk are particularly worried. A few days ago, we were told masks would be “encouraged” in the building.
Today, several legislators attended this large rally in Baton Rouge. None wore masks. I wonder how many have ever been tested for covid, or who are asymptotic.
We only need to pass a budget and a few other major items by June. So why the insistence on going back Monday with full hearings? Mostly because special interests want to push tort “reform” and other bad policies that do more harm than good to the average Louisiana resident. It’s so ugly, yet so predictable. #lalege #lagov

Apparently because I comment anonymously I’m the equivalent of a KKK member.
Never mind that dissent from the progressive opinion is met with people like Charlie who support the cancel culture.

So because I express an opinion in a forum dedicated to opinions, I should lose my job? These people are utterly insane fascists.

Jay and Rusty coming in hot:
These comments have turned into a dumpster fire.
Ma’am, why would you bring this to your social media page and not directly address those on the site? It seems like pandering to your base instead of tying to affect positive change.
If you are serious about your position, your views, your desire to create a better environment for all, then you would challenge those with such views directly; address them on that thread.

I despise hearing politicians complain about wanting things to be equal, yet they push their own gender to get more, simply because of how they were born.

Mandie, I want you to know that I care about what you are saying. While you are reading this, know that I understand where you are coming from and I hear your feelings and concerns. Also, how do you feel about sending pictures of yourself without any clothes on to other people?

Landry, a 41-year-old attorney, said she was inspired to run because of the dearth of women in the Legislature
Sounds like even she knows that the main reason she’s a legislator is that she has a vagina.
Being a woman who thinks with her pussy makes her absolutely no better than the misogynists she’s railing against. She’s just not self-aware enough to know it.

quote:You'd have to raise taxes to pay for all that state funded childcare and be increasing the cost of doing business in the state by doubling the minimum wage. Idiots don't realize that employers won't just have to give raises to the employees making $7.25/hour to bring them to $15. Everyone that was a more valuable employee and already made $15/hour will now have to get raises to $22-25. People who were making $25/hour will want $30.
A priority for Landry would be raising the minimum wage. She supports a $15 minimum, though she would work toward giving local governments the autonomy to set their own minimums. “I think that’s the quickest way to get more money to the people who need it,” she said.
She also proposes increasing state funding of childcare, something she said would benefit residents.
Meanwhile Texas will continue to prosper with their business friendly political climate and Louisianans will keep moving to Houston and Dallas in droves because there's so much more job opportunity there because our politicians run business out of the state.
