Last I checked, they don't allow beer at BREC parks.

No frickin' way I'm playing slow pitch softball without a good supply of beer....before and during.

BREC has run that league into the ground. I've had a team for about 6 years now. when we first started there were tons of teams. When Ashton left BREC the idiots they put in charge ruined it.

I dont think they love it, but the fields at Oak Villa are shite. One summer a league took 3 months to complete. They need to schedule better, promote better, manage better, and hire decent umps. They claim they're all USAA certified, but that cant be right.

They won't get "decent umps" at the prices they pay. Too easy to make more money with other leagues of baseball and softball.

OP Name checks out.

Why do yall care about the umpires in a grown men's softball "league?"

Just play in charity tournaments or something. A league? Really?

I see sober adults playing softball as a group of guys who never made it in high school baseball. All of them probably wearing two batting gloves and using the latest model year bat. That is my personal idea of hell.

I am just trying to find a league to play in. As mentioned above ^^ there are not a lot of Men's teams registered for the BREC leagues, but there are several for the Co-ed leagues.

Do yall know any other leagues in the BR area?

Me and a few friends of mine played high school baseball and played on the reg in our mid to late 20s. I haven't played in 10-12 years.

Honestly, it's a whole lot of fun that doesn't require you to be piss drunk all the time. Don't get me wrong, I like to drink a few beers and have a good time. Still, you can have fun playing softball sober.
