Unfortunately, it wasn't Staring Motel that sold (from what I'm gathering). The property next to Staring Motel has been for sale for quite some time now (15 acres to be exact) and it looks like the listing agent on that piece of land is the same one that is listed on that article.

I guess if they can build decent apts right across from the shite factory on Gardere, why not build a new subdivision next to Staring Motel?

The original offer was rescinded on when the buyer was made aware that the tract of land was an asbestos dump site. LSU was tearing down old buildings and needed a place to dispose of the waste, so they paid the owner of the property an undisclosed amount for use of his land.
