knew a white male mid 20s that made fake money. He got busted using a fake $100 at a horse racing track in florida. From new Orleans. He was an idiot

He should have printed out fake $10 bills, they are less likely to be scrutinized by the cashiers.

Well...was it counterfeit? Not saying you did it but possible you got ripped off at a previous transaction.

OP, you weren't accused of counterfeiting, but owning a counterfeit bill. There's a big difference between the two, unless there's something you're not telling us.

ETA- is it supposed to make it better or worse that you wore your fratstar outfit to Starbucks and had cash that looked fake to at least one person?

Lots of 10s roll in counterfeit. Doesn't matter what you look like, another place of business could have easily passed it on without knowing.

Who counterfeits a $10 bill?.

Ive always thoughts that if you were going to counterfeit bills, that it needs to be done with 5 and 10 dollar bills. It amazed me that more counterfeiters dont make 10's instead of 20's and 100's

So what happened? Did you cave and pay with something else? Walk out? Tell them to either take the old 10 dollar bill or call the police?

I wouldn't arrest you for trying to pass a counterfeit $10 bill, but you should be arrested for wearing a sweater vest.

In my experience, I've found the best places to pass counterfeit bills is pizza delivery guys, barbershops, & high school sporting events. Oh, and cocktail waitresses at the club. That's where I've known for people to pass counterfeit bills at.

no, because delivery drivers usually don't carry a pen to mark the bill, and have 2-3 deliveries at a time in the car. When they return to the store, the money goes into the cash register and once again, usually isn't marked, especially when the store is busy. The counterfeit isn't caught until it's deposited at the bank.

The secret to counterfeit bills isn't the product your buying, it's the change you get back. I've watched someone take 1k in fake 100's to the club, buy drinks from the cocktail waitress that walks around, tip them a little, and pocket 80 in real money. After having 3 people do that a few times, they left with 800 in real money.

Nope, you maybe buy a drink from them 2x, tip them, get about 80 in real money back off each hundred. Move to the other side of the club, rinse, wash repeat. Then on to the next club.

Starbucks was your first problem. Coffee sucks and a bunch of hipster freaks run it.

CEO of Starbucks said, "if you believe in traditional marriage, don't buy our products." So I said, ok no problem.

Even if I disagreed with them on that I would sometimes go there, but saying that is douche.
