That seems hard to believe. The whole neighborhood has underground utilities, with power coming into the neighborhood from the lines along Hwy 22, which appeared to be in good shape.

Well. That sorta narrows it down.

Not sure how far off 1085 you are but talked to a cleco guy this evening said they were “heating up” the terra Bella substation then the 1085 grid should be going live - said should be tomorrow.

This has me getting excited.

Tree down on a power line in Tallow Creek off 1085. It is behind one of the retention ponds. Cleco truck can’t currently get to it. Think they need water from the creek to go down off the access road.

This takes away my excitement

Can anyone tell me if Hwy 22 past the bowling alley in Mandeville has electricity? My mother in law lives there and she’s staying with me until her power gets restored. Please let me know ASAP!!!

Came home to check on house yesterday. I live about 6 blocks north of Hwy 22 on Marigny near Destin St. No power here, lines down all down the street and Hwy 59. Hot as balls! Just got text from buddy who lives on Tete Lours I’ll in the back of BC and his power just came up and he shot me a text. I was trying to lie hear and sweat when I heard the phone ding.

Still none in the Bush area and really haven’t been seeing any workers. We’re talking about possibly loading up the deep freeze and emptying the refrigerator by this weekend to go stay with my in-laws if we don’t have it back. Gas situation is pretty bad and I can’t sustain. Have spent $120 in gas so far to run deep freeze, refrigerator, 5,000 BTU A/C, and a box fan. I just wish we would receive some type of update on our specific area so I could decide what to do. Hopefully, we’ll get it back today.

Just got back from Folsom. Looks like the entire town has power back. The two independent gas stations are open. JR's is taking credit cards although at the moment they have no ethanol free gas...lady said the truck was on the way. Don't know about the Discount Zone.

Anyone with WSTE that lives around the 59/1088 intersection have power back yet? I'm a few blocks south and haven't seen any trucks going down the side streets yet. The 6 or 7 trees laying across my street were just cleared yesterday, but not sure if that was just neighborhood guys clearing the way or if it were any linemen.

what kind of update are you looking for?
if you are expecting power back on in ponchy or hammond this week, then here is your update:

"it ain't happening"

go drive over to the mall parking lot and see how many line trucks are staged there. they are still cutting trees off of roads and off of people's houses. this weekend they should be able to start repairs but this outage in that are will be measured in weeks, not days

I get your answer, and you are probably right. Doesn't mean you can't be frustrated with the situation. Also, look this is what people in those industries do, they need to figure it out. Find a way to get the shite done.

Just went back to my house off 1077 In Madisonville. That area still had a ways to go. Plenty of trees on power lines and seemingly very little progress made. Maybe 10-20% of red lights working. Super long gas lines. Dogs and cats living together. Mass hysteria.
