Sounds like the writings of a dumb, sheltered, suburban, private school teenager with racist parents.

Emphasis on dumb. Jeeze. I hope that kid was from a lower grade level.

is this wrong?

Yes. The kid thinks all black people are bad because of the actions of some black people, yet there are bad white people.. So why doesn't he think all white people are bad?

Jesus of Nazareth likely had a darker complexion than we imagine, not unlike the olive skin common among Middle Easterners today. Princeton biblical scholar James Charlesworth goes so far as to say Jesus was “most likely dark brown and sun-tanned.” The earliest depictions of an adult Jesus showed him with an “Oriental cast” and a brown complexion.

He's a fricking kid, this is why freedoms don't extend to kids because they're fricking retarded. If he still feels this way on his 18th birthday then fine. But if a kid says something stupid then you tell them it's stupid, you don't respect their freedoms.

I read the first paragraph and stopped.

First impression is that it was written by someone with less than average intelligence, even if you don't consider the content.

Thinking just a little more, there is a slight possibility that this "writing" was produced by someone of very high intellect who used this informal, almost ignorant writing style to further emphasize that this small minded way of thinking is really a reflection of ignorance.

So, this kid is either a genius or a dumb frick. (I'll still bet on the latter)

FIFY

Neither you nor I know if his parents are racist (They probably are to some extent as all people are).

I think its perfectly understandable that a teen could have this opinion without parental influence.

But I am more shocked at his poor grammar and diction. The school should be embarrassed by his lack of basic grammar skills. What a piss poor product they are producing.

Memo to St. Michaels, spend more time teaching grammar, less on tolerance and inclusion. That should be a personal choice. Correct grammar should be obligatory.

That's how $7,000/year in tuition writes an essay?

Its actually a girl who wrote this and she will probably end up being expelled. She's been getting death threats because of this.

All the St. Michael's kids I knew in HS (Bishop Sully) were trash dicks.

Always thought that was weird considering its a private school.

The principal needs to be concerned about the success (or lack thereof) of the school's English department more than the content of the paper.

That's my initial thought as well. However, I wish the principal would have blamed it on Russians instead of the internet. Just for the frick of it.
