Don't let the Outdoor Board find out about it or they will all hop in their pick-ups and make a beeline for Ferguson!

Not exactly. His words were really careful. "Vigorous prosecution" and "justice" don't necessarily mean getting an indictment and a guilty verdict. I think he knows it's very possible there won't even be an indictment - and that result would be justice. He is choosing his words very carefully, and the media, as always, reads into them what fits their story.

I still don't think someone in his position should be throwing around words like that when there are people on all sides fighting to get to the truth. Seems like he's pandering or trying to sway how people do their jobs and make decisions, and a man's life is on the line.

Yeah skeptical for a number of reasons... Would be hilarious if true though.

We have a weird system. The Lt. Governor is a separate election So they can be different parties as they are now.

To accuse someone of a crime and bring criminal charges against.

This is the most common definition. Why bother fricking up someone's life if the initial investigation clears him?

Investigate would be a better word if he meant a "vigorous investigation". He said PROSECUTE. That implies charging someone with a crime.

Of course he is. He's a closeted gay republican who was raked over the coals by the AG's office (Nixon's former office) for misappropriation of state funds and had to pay back a good chunk of money. He is a nasty, nasty politician. And no, I'm not a democrat. I've just met the man.

And as a verb, prosecute also means to see something through to completion. He's choosing his words very carefully.
