It seems to be a common occurrence as of late. It's as if they're trying hard to find "injustice" to keep their cause alive.

The decision not to protect businesses last night was explained in the following fashion: If police had lined up in front of businesses, it would have attracted protestors all long them, probably provoked more confrontation, and led to more conflict, at which some point the police would have either had to fight it out or leave, at which point they would have again been unprotected.
I hope the business owners that called 911 and nobody came sue the city.

ompletely agree with you on this Sabi. That's honestly I think the most important question in this whole debacle. But seeing the surrender hands in protesting seems crazy to me. That seems like one of the most unlikely scenarios in this whole matter, yet that's what they've latched onto. And now that additional info has come out, interesting how they still hold onto that. No matter what, I think they've gone all in, and will allege that's what happened despite what evidence comes forth. Otherwise, they would have to admit they were.....wrong.
Exactly this. They've been wrong from the start yet keep bringing up a false set of circumstances that were a lie to begin with.
100% agree and not the first time or the last. Exactly why no takes them serious except themselves and why they won't get anywhere.
That was cleaned up fast. What area are you medic? I work in the medical field as well.

Even Johnson said they are trying to track down witnesses and none of them are ever home.
They should look for them in the liquor stores after midnight.

Gonna be hard for them to argue that one. From what I understand both the lawyer and family confirmed that it was him in that video.

What gets me about last night though, that in discussions of escalation there is a presumption there (although not said) that if the police moved in after these looters that it would spread and expand. It would only do that if the innocents chose the looter side.
If the innocents were all truly trying to stop and defend, wouldn't this have been completely nipped with the extra force of the police?
Good points. Don't necessarily disagree with you. I think there's a good chunk of the protesters that are innocent or peaceful and some of them did try to nip it in the bud. There is probably a group that is somewhere in the middle. They're peaceful and protesting but susceptible for flipping if pushed. Then obviously the looters being the guilty.

Agree, at first glance they don't look the same. But if you look, the horizontal black/gold(?) stripes are the same.
