That makes no sense. Fears for their safety maybe? I can see, though, why they might not want these witnesses talking to the media.

No. Doesn't want them talking to Brown and others attorneys. That's typical, though I heard the prosecutor's office was actually encouraging witnesses to speak to them. Very unique and not sure I buy it. They want the Brown side guessing at all times possible.
