2. The cops who just shot the kid showing up in force in riot gear to the peaceful portion of the vigil.

One cop made a bad decision. The others didn't. They have a duty to protect and serve, and that's exactly what they were there to do.

so,you're saying it was the exact cops that shot the kid(aka 17 year old adult) that showed up at the vigil?

So cops at the peaceful portion of the vigil when the Brown family was there, cops in full gear yelling at them "Bring it on you fricking animals." Yeah, that's not going to incite a riot when you're talking to the mother of the deceased or their family like that.

I'm sure during the vigil, without any instigation, the cops just started yelling this. Totally plausible.

27 AAs shot this weekend in Chicago, one dead (almost had the second weekend with no murders this year) and the race baiters are boarding planes bound for STL. No money in protesting AAs killing AAs I guess.

The cops in the line I don't fault. They were doing what they were told to do. I do question the higher ups that decided that that is what was needed to best protect and serve though.

and due to the behaviors of the rioters, their presence was needed at that point

as was posted in my thread...the ONE THING that these idiots had to do was NOT RIOT and justify the presence of these cops

total and abject failure

To be fair, the looting and rioting likely would have happened without the riot squad there as well.

We aren't talking about a community wholly composed of law-abiding citizens here.

No, it's only bad if the cops profile people. Not when people profile the cops.

Yeah the community proved last night they're capable of providing order and safety on their own..

You seem to keep missing the part that me personally don't condone the rioting or looting. I said I understand it but understanding it and condoning it are two different things.

Old news. But yeah. Now we have Al Sharpton and Trayvon Martin's lawyers coming to town. And I bet not one of them will stay in Ferguson. They'll all stay in Clayton or somewhere nice. Great.

What do you expect? They're figure heads. They only get involved to put their name on it. This all works to their advantage, of self promotion

Condone-transitive verb
: to regard or treat (something bad or blameworthy) as acceptable, forgivable, or harmless.
