Best I can make out, the cop told them to walk on the sidewalk. Kids mouthed off. Cop goes to get out of car throwing door open. Door hits kids and closes right back on the cop. (That's your scuffle) Cop pulls gun and shoots once from within the car. Kids run. One hides behind a car. Second puts hands up in middle of street and stops and is shot more than a half dozen more times.
you keep telling people their theories don't make sense then you put this garbage tale out as if it's what happened?
And then tell another poster they may need to move on to another story?

that building and shop owner were SO COMPLICIT in this tragedy

If someone wanted real chaos they'd start shooting looters and watch the madness bloom like matches in winter.

I never understand what looting is going to do in this situation (besides get you some new jordans and a flatscreen). I can see vandalizing government property in response but attacking private businesses.
Again, I don't condone the looting but you probably never would have heard of Mike Brown if it weren't for it.

Are you trying to justify the wholesale looting and destruction of an area with "well, it made headlines"?

Am I better off for having heard of Mike Brown? Because I don't feel like my life has changed at all. Except I probably won't ride the metro any time soon.

Just passing along what I'm hearing. Take it or leave it. Obviously he can post here or on any other story. That was more in response to him telling me to move along.

So cops at the peaceful portion of the vigil when the Brown family was there, cops in full gear yelling at them "Bring it on you fricking animals." Yeah, that's not going to incite a riot when you're talking to the mother of the deceased or their family like that.

Exactly. Everybody else is completely wrong but his story (as crazy as it may be) is the only possible chain of events. Some people get so invested they can't even conceive of an alternative solution.

They're going to have to in the future. Scenes like this are coming to a city near you probably sooner than later.

Any excuse to riot right? Everyone wants to have their "1963 civil rights" moment but they go about it all wrong.

Just what you're seeing on twitter.

This rally will be fine. The thugs aren't up yet. Just like the rally at 10 a.m. yesterday was fine.
2 bad pieces of planning last night IMO.
1. Having another vigil that late at night that was ending just as the thugs were coming to life at night.
2. The cops who just shot the kid showing up in force in riot gear to the peaceful portion of the vigil.
Wish those who made those 2 decisions had thought better of it.

Nope. You're getting me wrong. As I've said more than once, the looters and rioters SHOULD be arrested. But also saying there was no need for that shite.

In the eyes of the people in the community they don't differentiate. LE is LE. Obviously, no it wasn't the same cop. It wasn't even the same police force. My neighbor had to go up there (St. Louis County police department) and he typically patrols west St. Louis County and wasn't up there until much later in the night. So no, obviously not the same cops literally.
