How does the seemingly Indefensible death of a youth at the hands of law enforcement justify looting of completely unrelated businesses?

It's sickening.
These pieces of shite stole rims and weaves, all under the cover of "community anger".

I don't disagree with you. Just passing on the fact that I think there is more anger being expressed here over the looting than by SOME of the business owners. That should tell us something.

Personally, while I don't condone it, I get why the initial anger was directed at the QT and that's where the destruction and looting started. At the end of the day though, all of Brown's supporters were trying to get people to stop but it was way out of control by then.

You should not be able to resist arrest and run away. Cops should not have to chase mother frickers in the hood. We do not know what happened but we know that everyday an officer is injured trying to wrestle someone and make them submit.

Cops also shouldn't unload on you if you are unarmed and not a threat.

Scruffy likes to set his standards for cops very high.

Because people are retarded and direct anger at a store that was supposedly stolen from!?!?

That makes as much sense as fat girl in Playboy.

The original version was a thug robbed a store, assaulted a cop, and tried to take the cops gun away.

No. It more played out like this.

Original story..thug just robbed QT. Oh, he wasn't even at QT. Ok, then change story.

Kid scuffled with the officer. Oh, doesn't justify shooting him 10 times. Ok, then change story.

Kid scuffled with the officer AND tried to take his gun. That might justify shooting him at the car, but it's not going to justify shooting him a half dozen more times. So I expect the "official" version from police will change again if all the above is true.

Bull shite you shouldn't. It's your right as a free citizen to resist tyranny...

The kid didn't kill anyone.
He hadn't committed a violent crime.
There is ZERO justification for shooting an unarmed boy who is running away.
Tackle his arse
Taze his arse
Chew his arse out
Threaten his arse

You gonna shoot the boy like a boar hog?
Sickening.

Regardless of what the police did, the way this "community" reacted is ridiculous and the reason there are stereotypes in this country.

You're not allowed to resist arrest and run away. You're just not supposed to get killed for it either. And that's if I'm buying the police story of an altercation and running away.

I would say a thug was caught robbing a store.

I would say you don't even understand what the word "robbing" means.

The cop was very polite/respectable and brought the kid to his car to question him

Obviously. Andy Griffith just wants to help the young man back on the right path.

quote:

The kid realizes he is in big trouble but instead of running he sees the cop's gun and the cop is not paying full attention to the suspect. The kid reaches and grabs the gun to shoot the cop but is unable to pull it free.

Certainly. Because the difference in nicking a candy bar and killing a cop in cold blood is as fine as frog hair.

So let me get this straight. You honestly believe that what happened was:

1. Officer sees two youths walking down middle of street.
2. Officer tells them to get on sidewalk.
3. Youth says something to Officer.
4. Officer throws car door open striking youth.
5. Door bounces back and hits officer.
6. Youth moves several yards away and calmly puts hands in air.
7. Officer jumps from car, unholsters, takes aim and shoots youth ten times? In broad daylight with witnesses.
8. Then makes up completely fictional story about a struggle.

Really? Why would he do that?

Of course.
I don't think anyone with a brain is arguing that.

I wish some business owners would have blown some of those looters away.

I never understand what looting is going to do in this situation (besides get you some new jordans and a flatscreen). I can see vandalizing government property in response but attacking private businesses.

I would not be surprised if they pushed the door back shut on the cop.

I never said he calmly walks a few yards away. I bet the two kids took off running. One ducked behind cars. Brown stops and puts hands in the air as more shots are fired and he is shot more times. Yes, in broad daylight. Yes, in front of witnesses.

I don't think he came up with the fictional struggle. I think others came up with that for him.
