Thoughts?
Both appeal to the political parties ideology and at the same time are the antithesis.
One was seen as a man standing up to Big Government, the other is seen as people not respecting the laws of their state.
It is strange and he has a point. Both of these instances are about protests. And one is a more liberal protest while one a more conservative, and each side has banded around their side.
It's sad how it's left or right. I think this nation would be better suited with four major parties.
Far left, center left, center right, far right.

That's a good response, IMO.

All I know is the OT has big time influence.
Slick tells the Governor he needs to get off his arse and say something - Governor then issues statement.
Was said here that St. Louis County needs to be relieved of their duties - Both Ferguson and St. Louis County have now been relieved of their duties.
Was said that arresting/firing on media and politicians would change the perception of the force being used - Since that time both the Government, the President and the DOJ have expressed concerns over how St. Louis County and Ferguson flexed their muscles.
I can't count how many times in all these pages that something was said to be needed to be done. Within 24 hours that thing was done. Basically, the people reading here and OT dictating what happens next.
My next demand and prediction: St. Louis County Chief of Police needs to and will lose his job over this.

Just let it go. Arguing over whether you're on topic is off topic.
I was singled out because I am trying to present the views about this situation. I don't let it go when my ideal is to calm both sides and help the community of Ferguson to return to normal. I am on topic. I want to know what will happen now that BP and others are there to face a different LEO force. I'm on topic now.

It's all the media.
Media isn't there to give you news. Media is there to help you think about the issues and to sway you towards issues. You can get the news anywhere.
Cable News is what I should say, not all media. But Cable news really wants to either make you think one side is right over the other on every issue.
But sometimes things aren't black and white.

was just reading how the county chief is not an elected official but is appoint by a board.
Strange. Something else about 2 seats on the board vacant. It's on that long reddit post the GeauxMedic posted.

We had a great Chief, Tim Fitch. But he had too much integrity, and busted 2 Police board members on scams they were running and busted the Head of St.Louis County, Dooley on shite. Dooley tried to get rid of him, but the board fought back, those who were left. Unfortunately, Mr.Fitch found another business venture, and left.
County is in 10 times worse shape with him gone. He will be sorely missed for many years.

Didn't see it. Just got here and wasn't going to read all 30+ pages to catch up. Thanks though.
Then unappoint the guy is my point.

Odds are the whole lock down thing is false rumors being spread.

So is your issue with the news and how they portray each situation to generate the largest audience or law enforcement for handling two different situations differently?
I can't judge how law enforcement handled two situations in two totally different parts of the country.

Our office in the Bank of America Building downtown is suddenly closing in 15 minutes...any activity downtown?"
Tip] [Downtown]
"My office is in the KMOV building at Market & Memorial. Our building's doors will be locking at 3:00 but the building will remain open to workers and guests. The Moment of Silence vigil is scheduled for 6:20 in Ely Smith Square (the little park between the Old Courthouse and the Archgrounds). More than 1000 people are expected to attend according to the event's Facebook page. Plus there is a Cardinal game tonight, so downtown will be packed

If they feared all heck breaking loose they would have made everybody leave.

This is supposedly the cop who shot him and a pic of the police chief that's circulating on social media right now. Anonymous hacked his Facebook page

Those buildings downtown usually lockdown at 5:00 anyways. Need to swipe your card to get in and out after that. Unless they've changed in the last several years.
