There are two sides here.
People who know there IS a double standard, and
People who don't believe there is a double standard.
Here is an experiemnt.
Get a white guy and a black guy.
Release them both in either EBR or Jefferson Parish.
Give each a weed pipe and a half of a gram of pot.
I will bet that the white guy gets a summons to appear, and no cuffs and then gets a fine and unsupervised jail time. (with a court appointed)
I will bet the black guy is booked, held then released after paying bail. Then gets 6 months supervised probation in court, if he is lucky.
I have seen this EXACT scenario happen more than once.
It's sad, but it DOES happen. People who say it doesn't are the people who have no idea.
How many inspection sticker/seatbelt checkpoints are targeted in the hood?

I will conditionally agree with you. Who suddenly shows up becomes the "face" of "black community" when things like this happens?

Additionally, if an unarmed white kid is shot by police and it seems like a questionable shooting, can whites not protest because they have never sufficiently addressed the issue of white on white crime?
Yes they can. No they don't. Note that you indicate a protest AFTER the investigation.

NAACP is another group that exists to line its own pockets.

And yet we're all quick to say "black on black" like a dyslexic member of ACDC with Tourette's whenever there's a white on black incident. So maybe we care a little more about race than we think we do.
So is black on black presented as a rebuttal to the original racist charge or is it only repeated after the Quik Trip is rampaged and kill the police is chanted?
This is not a chicken and egg thing.

without reading all of this, has it been determined if the cop was white or black yet?
90% chance
KKK is giving money the cop too so 98% chance

Me too. I think withholding the name while Molotov cocktails are flying is the wise decision, specifically for his family.
My concern is what happens if it is revealed this kid assaulted the office before shooting? Will the protesters say, "oh, well that's understandable, no hard feelings"?
I just don't believe that a police officer shot this kid for no reason.

Not sure I'm tracking. You don't think it's the guy or you do?

Agree. The IRS is attacking me on some bullshite loophole from last year. They saw my return, and got greedy. #whitepeopleproblems

Given that it is an ongoing investigation, and a controversial one at that, it's unlikely they'll make too many facts known yet.
However, the police chief went on Hannity last night and, after a lot of prodding, hinted that Michael Brown was in the officer's squad car at the time of the shooting and that the shooting was from inside the car.
By that, it was implied that he'd chased the officer into the car or that he was trying to go for the officer's gun.

It's a Louisiana thing. We don't do that stuff here. Here it's headlights, license plates, smelled weed, taillight out. I got pulled over for having a "license frame which obscures the state of issue."

I don't know who the shooter is, but there woul dbe no reason for a St.Ann cop to be any where near there.
There are 3-5 Different cities/munis in between them,
Now if this happened in St.John and you told me it was a St.Ann cop, that i could buy.

Yeah, he is not quiet correct. There are many cases of protests against white on black crime when only civilians were involved.

On one side you have a lawful institution, on the other you have a mob. I don't see how you think it's the same.
So its ok to defend and protect the "unlawful" so long as you're a lawful instituion.
Got it.

If true, then they need to release that. It would have prevented this shite storm.

My problem with the shooting is this (based on media reports so info maybe useless): the cop shot the kid multiple times and he was 35' away. Not justifiable under any circumstances UNLESS the cop is under fire.
