And how many of those 600 protestors actually had anything productive to do today?
It's the weekend. I don't have anything productive to do today either.

Witnesses to the shooting identified the victim as Michael Brown, 18. They say he was walking in the middle of a street with a friend, Dorin Johnson, when a Ferguson officer drove up and ordered them to the sidewalk. Johnson said they told him they were a minute away from their destination and then they would be out of the street.
After a verbal confrontation, witness Piaget Crenshaw said the officer got out of his car and fired a shot. Both teens ran, she said, and another shot was fired. Johnson hid behind a car, but said his friend stopped after a second shot was fired at him. Crenshaw and Johnson say the teen held up his hands to show he did not have a weapon, however the officer fired at him two more times and he collapsed and died in the street.

So all this was prompted by a cop not letting the kid jus walk in the street to his grandmother's house??
Seriously??!!! This is why this kid is dead!!!

This is what comes from the militarization of police departments and the "Us versus them" mentality instilled in police forces across the country.
We've gone from Andy Griffith to "your papers please citizen!"

He said she said...
two facts so far:
1. kid got shot/killed
2. police fired a shot
Well this will get interesting indeed.

Not only did a kill the kid for no reason, they try to paint him as a criminal to justify the frickery

Obviously we won't know everything until the facts come out, but the mom bitching and moaning about her innocent baby being gunned down while his hands were up is bullshite.
What a dumbass

I hope that, all hyperbole aside, no one here is really stupid enough (no matter how much you may dislike police) to believe that this officer just randomly decided to roll up and shoot this guy for no reason. In broad daylight. With witnesses around. In the middle of a city street. In the hood. I mean really? Even if you are going to make the leap that the officer is some kind of psychopath who actually woke up and decided to kill someone today. Is this how he would do it?
This reminds me of the EBRSO shooting years back when they chased the kid seen with a gun into an abandoned apartment and shot him when he jumped out of a dark bathroom. They subsequently located his gun on a closet shelf in the bedroom. The family and NAACP claimed the gun was "planted". I met the guy involved and asked him about it. He laughed and said "Hell, if I was going to plant a gun it would have been in his hand." Coming back to this incident, it makes zero sense to think the officer would have just shot him in this manner. Something, whether it justified shooting or not, happened to make him decide to pull the trigger.

Well that's one way of explaining the eyewitness accounts, but it is hyperbolic itself. The witnesses claim the shooting followed a verbal altercation with the police.

In that case, did the police come out and say the newly dead man was unarmed in under twenty-four hours? Seems like a great parallel.

I get it. We all know websites like this is for everyone to take their sides.
Im in the camp, lets wait till all the news gets out.for all the prognostications being made, nobody here really stands to lose anything by making any assumptions so why not??? Lets all take sides now before all sides of the story come out.

Protests in Ferguson reportedly turned violent Sunday night.
Crowds reportedly stormed the QuickTrip on West Florissant, causing a lot of damage. A window was also smashed out of a News 4 live truck.
Police equipped with riot gear are being dispatched to the scene.
Getting uglier.
