St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones plans to hold businesses accountable for violent crime outside their establishments, she told Action News 5.

I wonder what the Black Mayors’ Coalition on Crime thinks about the Alton Sterling incident.

I’d be all for this if they let the owners handle violent criminals around their stores however they wanted to.

But that’s not what she means.

Anybody, everybody, and everything is liable except for the shitbags that commit the crimes. So they’ll go after the people who didn’t do anything about the crime but not the actual person who did the crime. Peak stupidity.

Because of her & her predecessor, the State of MO is once again lobbying to take over the STLPD force. It's been taken over by the state before & needs to be done again soon.

Hold absent fathers accountable

I wonder what the statistics are for whether such fathers are even still alive and not incarcerated when their children commit these crimes.

No doubt this group really nails the root causes of violent crime in inner cities.

To accumulate those statistics you would from the beginning of the study need to know who those absent fathers are.

If the women don’t have a clue, your study is sunk before it starts.

Enforce loitering laws on those businesses' property, which I'm sure the owners would support, and the problem is dealt with. If the owners do anything on their own, they're straight fricked.

Who is going to enforce those laws? The police? They don’t have enough now, and the left wants to defund them more.

If the store owner IS successful in getting police there, the thugs simply melt into the darkness. When the police leave, they have a mob go through grabbing stuff from the shelf and running.

The employee working there is likely making $10-$15/hour. They’re not putting their life in the line to stop them. And you’re right, if the store owner fights back, they’re prosecuted and their store gets burned down.

Ultimately, what it comes down to is the stupid voters put her in office. Until they feel enough personal pain, they won’t vote differently.

Sucks for the store owners to shut down, because most if them have everything invested there.

But what choice are they being left with?

It is much cheaper for commercial real estate moguls to grease a few political palms in order to promote terrible policy that reduces property values. These real estate Interests come in, purchase the devalued property, and make untold millions in profit.

Baton Rouge tried this and ended up with Alton Sterling. Any attempts to combat this will be met with howls of racism.

I'm sure she considers herself the CEO of the city, so she should be held personally accountable for any crime that happens there, right?

They would need to prosecute; are they doing that now?
