How did it work with Central and Zachary and Baker?

Central and Zachary schools are doing well. Zachary in fact is near the top in the state.

On the other hand Baker has not done too well. They are at or below EBR scores if memory serves.

They are doing that already to SG proponents. They ignore concerns and everything is discussed along racial lines whether it's the police chief, city attorney, the CAO or the Airport Director.

Regarding the Jefferson Terrace situation, someone older than me might know more of the details, but wasn't there a similar situation with Central? I want to say EBR had talked about building a new Central Middle School, but never delivered on the promise and there were politics involved because they knew Central was putting together the groundwork to break away.

I could have made all of this up or misunderstood the whole situation entirely though.

Perhaps. But the new school in Jefferson Terrace has literally already bid and been awarded. My guess is that dirt work will start relatively soon.

Maybe it was your earlier post (before you edited it) complaining about all the places in Louisiana named after saints.

Yes, I remember discussions regarding Central schools and what their fair share was.

I believe that Central Community Schools included a high school, a middle school and two elementary schools when it formed.

Elsewhere I read SG's boundary includes a HS, a middle school and
three elementary schools.

Central has way less than half the population that SG does.

Zachary has been noted to having a better school system than many of the parishes in Louisiana. However, they are scrambling now with the 3 plant closures and will be draining their reserves to make ends meet. They will need to make some serious adjustments in the future. They also pay higher property taxes as well, now the school system will require even higher property taxes to keep itself afloat.

I'm not what businesses are in the St. George region in case some leave like GP did to Zachary.

There might still be some hope for EBR parish after all.
