I should've Google their arse before thinking I was getting a great deal on tickets. I think they even charge a fee for the air that recycled thru the aluminum tube they try to pass off as a plane.

Delta or Southwest is the only way to fly domestic.

Is that the company that charges like $150 for a carry one? Apparently it's a steal if youre willing to travel with only a backpack

It's not a terrible deal if you know what you're getting and plan accordingly

Like I tolja, my friend used to wear 4 layers of clothes on their planes so he wouldn't have to pay $250 for a suitcase. Like looked funny as shite waddling around Orlando International, but he didn't have much $$ and he was banging some hot ho down in Costa Rica so … anyway, a man does what a man has to do. Except fly Spirit.

How do people not know the deal with Spirit Airlines by now?

Also always a good laugh when people bitch about receiving the half price quality that comes with their half price ticket.

If you don't want the lowest quality travel experience, don't buy the absolute cheapest ticket available.

Just know they charge for everything and plan accordingly.

Every airline will probably be like them within 10 years

I usually fly United then American - it's only a 2.5 hour flight to Chicago- I can deal with it. I'd rather pay a little more upfront than not be charged for a carry on and other stupid add on fees - I was shocked. I feel like a stupid arse for going thru Expedia and only looking at price.

About the only positive way you can look at that airline if you do it right. Do they charge for the bathroom, too?

I've flown with them a few times, and its not great but I knew what I was getting myself into.

One time my bag was fine flying to Chicago, but on the way back they said it was too heavy. I had to wear like 4 jackets and move some stuff to a friends bag.

I've had some flights delayed, and the old ladies working the counter are slow as frick.

But as long as you know the deal, it is what it is.

Flying Branson Air to and from Cancun was a TOTAL shitshow. Never again.

I read somewhere, maybe here, that they wanted to but couldnt because it was illegal.

A) WTF were you expecting when they're so cheap?

B) if you go with just a backpack and layer up, you'll save a fortune on bag fees

This. My first experience with them was awful but after, I knew what I was getting and was able to appreciate how cheap the flight was

The price was about $120 lower or so than us airways or something similar.
I'm glad it's a non-stop to Chicago- if I die I leave everything to the OT
