fantastic Saturday night karaoke scene. employed some cute barteners (at times). decent burger. cool outdoor patio upstairs.
owners couldn't decide if it was a sports bar or fine dining. it went under. sold out to Fuzzy's. Then burnt down.

Downtown Athens used to be riddled with them, but rising rents have closed all but one. Only The Manhattan remains.

It wasn't the flood that did them in. it was their bartenders unable to count the drinks they serve. I would roll into there with $10 and walk out 5 hours later completely hammered

I think the owner of that shopping center kind of pushed everyone out. I used to go there fairly often. I thought that Indian bartender was pretty hot.
