we're in the process of building a home in lakeview and decided to save some money over the next 6-8 months and move in with the wifes parents.
the fun part; we have an 18 month old and just found out we've got another in the oven...which we may or may not end up having before we move into the new house.
has anyone else done this before? we're on day 3 and so far so good. i've heard i'll probably crack around month 3.

No savings could possibly drive me to such foolish behavior.
I would begin plotting your divorce strategy.

I haven't but just keep your eye on the prize

I'd rather smash my balls with a hammer made from broken glass.

Moved in with my Inlaws when we were renovating our house. About 6 months. We're all rational normal people so it worked great.

Just remember they hate your being there as much as you hate being there.
And you can never, ever resent them for anything else. Good luck with that.

This situation is highly dependent on the in-laws and if your house is actually built on time.

I could easily stay with my in laws. I would sit around drunk all the time and let MIL wait on me hand and foot.

her parents are great but it is weird hanging out in my wifes bedroom from when she was a kid / teenager, etc.
the big change so far, other than simply being here, is having to sleep in her old double bed. we had a king bed which easily fit us both and sometimes our border collie.
not gonna lie, it does feel a little bit like high school.

It's all well and good until MIL walks in on the two of you having sex and says "We don't have closed doors in our house"

I have it worse brah, in laws moved in with me overa year ago. Wife's grand mother is cool as shite she can stay forever. MIL doesn't bother me. But then there is the BIL with three kids and new girlfriend. He hasn't had a job in over a year with a new born. I would put him out quick as lightning if wasn't for his kids. Their mother is a drug whore and dad is a bum, mooching blood sucker. The kids well being is the only reason we're putting up with it but its getting old. Twelve people in a house with only two with a source of income.

Dude god save you for staying that long with the in laws. Plan a few vacations to save your sanity.

Knock the FIL out asap to assert your dominant position, then all should be well.
