Justin Beiber got a DUI. Do you want to be like him? Don't drink and drive unless you want to.

I don't have any sympathy for drunk drivers. I've lost friends and family to these idiots.

Been close 3 times but never had to even get out of my ride.
#1: checkpoint line was really long so they ended up waiving a bunch of us through -- went straight to taco bell
#2: had to speak with an officer when I pulled up, told me to drive home safely
#3: had to speak with an officer when I pulled up, he had me follow a pen with my eyes (trick is to only use your eyes and not move your head)
I use Uber now.

Dodged a lot of bullets. Thank god Michigan courts struck down checkpoints.

I have not.
Had 2 really close calls. One leaving Beale Street on St. Patrick's Day and the other in college I made it through a roadblock leaving a bar.

Went down a one way on accident after leaving a bar. Wasn't wasted, but I knew I was WAY less drunk than my friend that drove us there.
Cop asked me why he thought I was pulled over and I knew. So he told us to dump out the unopened bottle of crown and go home.
This was back in HS before Uber was around. I don't drive after many drinks anymore.

Young and dumb years ago.
I was living in Natchitoches and come home from the bar then decided I was hungry.
Was driving to McDonalds drunk as a skunk with beer in the cupholder. See a checkpoint ahead and told myself "Welp, I'm going to jail".
Put the beer in the side pocket of the door. Talk to the first cop. Lied and said I hadn't been drinking. He looks at me and tells me to drive to the second officer up about 100 ft up the road.
Start slowing down to talk with the second officer and he waves me through with his flashlight without a word.
Didn;t even go to McDs after. Took another route and went straight home. Butthole pucker factor 10

Came close once not long after Katrina, on the way home from going out uptown. Pulled over on westbank expressway for speeding and was pretty drunk. Cop took my lic, reg, and ins and then had me step outside the car and had me waiting by back of my car while he went into his cop car. Thought for sure I was about to get field sobriety test and was going to jail. Plus I was only 20 at the time, so legal limit for under-21 is a whole lot lower than .08 usual limit. When he came back from his car, handed me my lic, reg, and ins back along with a speeding ticket and sent me on my way.

Been lucky countless times. Then got one after 4 beers(didn't blow). Got dropped because the police officer was apparently a REALLY bad person. Still a serious pain in the arse.
Karma all around.

Oh and there's a reason most of us have one. And it isn't because we regularly drive around after 15 beers.
