I have 8 boxes of MRE's, 50 gallons of water, an AR-15 and a Glock. Granted, I have these in case the volcano (Mt Rainier) goes off or an earthquake. Not for ISIS. Don't feel like I have nearly enough though.

Prepper lifestyle is interesting as a practical hobby if one recognizes that it is probably more for fun than preparation for the inevitable.
Once you get sucked in, you become paranoid.
However, I will say that it isn't a bad idea for people in South LA to have 2-3 weeks worth of food stored for your family in case another big hurricane has a direct hit. Being prepared for that isn't outlandish

if I had to hunker down in a days long firefight.
I have 1 gun and enough food in my pantry on a daily basis to get by, but somehow I think I'll be ok.
If ISIS came strolling into my neighborhood, I don't think owning 17 guns vs the 1 I have would help me THAT much.

Retitle thread "How big of a paranoid coward are you?"

A spray bottle of automatic transmission fluid makes for great weapons lube especially for high rates of fire.

Oh lawdy lawdy lawdy
I have a box of buckshot. That'll be plenty enough for me to take all yours when the shite hits the fan.
If we're fighting ISIS, Im going gurilla with whatever outfit I can find. Shouldn't be hard.

I bought a piece of property a couple years or so ago and at the closing the guy says I forgot to show you the cellar. Just a vacant piece of country property and this dude had dug a hole, submerged a shipping container and put dirt over it. No shite. Still there but it is empty and I'm probably going to sell anyway. Just thought it was a bit out there as the guy was. I think he spent all his money on prepping and had to sell the property.
True story.
True story.

Do they not sell whatever ammo you need?
Or is this just some type of subtle brag of hey look at all the guns I bought, and I don't even bother buying the bullets for it.?
That's like someone buying different types of guitars, but not bothering to get any strings.
Hey, check out my Les Paul. Can't play it ,cause I've only got one string.

How many do you think are coming?

I can tell u this. Should it all hit the fan, ammo will be the highest commodity. Forget gold, cash, etc.

I've got around 8000 rounds of ammo not because I'm a prepper but because I like to shoot
I'm a country boy with plenty of cows and water wells so I don't need stored food. If shite got really bad I'm heading to the ranch with the water and food source along with my 8000 rounds of ammo. Not to mention I'll be in the greatest state in the lower 48, TEXAS!

I have a cell phone full of single girls numbers. I will become a post apocalyptic pimp. Pussy is the most valuable resource and I will control it. Checkmate, bitch

I here ya! I realized early on that a viable mode of transportation is a must. So I bought a horse. It's a Ford Mustang and it has a GPS, so it knows how to get to Kroger. Lot's of food stored there. I don't think I could ever eat it all. You ought to climb out of your bunker and check it out some time.
As far as ISIS coming across the "fenceless" border, don't sweat that one either. I live in Texas and although the border may be fenceless, it is far from de-fenseless. If you think the rest of the country is well armed, you ought to come get a load of these Texans! They don't play! By the time the ISIS hoard gets to a major city in Texas the massacre will be on. Trust me. I've seen I-45 the night before deer season opens. It looks like Patton's army took a wrong turn at Berlin.

Historically, the three items most desired (expensive)in prolonged desperate situations (think Kosovo), is rubbing alcohol, drinking alcohol and a female body part.
