to bring what appears to be homemade clocks to school? I'm sure they're going to play off the hesitation this incident in Texas will cause when it comes to inspecting suspicious devices.

That is ridiculous. Muslim extremists would not put children in harm's way.

It's just the beginning. Right now it's harmless clocks. They will start developing bombs that look very similar but because of all the PC in this country, nobody will say anything.

Let's just hypothesize how this could go down.
Get nerdy kid to make a clock that looks like a bomb.
Nerdy kid gets arrested and invited to White House.
Nerdy kid brings his "clock" to White House, KABOOM!

I've honestly never thought about that, and it brings up a very interesting question:
Will the White House inspect the clock?
Will the White House inspect the clock?

Until one of them blows up a school. Then the same people (maybe except Obama) white knighting for this kid now will be the loudest ones crying about how the school let it happen.

so outlaw clocks? outlaw all homemade electronics? outlaw anything that looks scary?

have we seen extremists attack a school?
And honestly nerds aren't going to be super attracted to radical islam. if you think the GOP is anti science, radical islam makes huckabee look like Neil DGT

Are you this stupid? The basis of this thread is hesitation to inspect suspicious devices, which is based on the assumption these common things won't be banned.

PC Principle would not have stood by and let that boy be harassed.

are you? because nobody would care about inspecting such devices
nobody
it was the whole being arrested part that people cared about

EXACTLY! That's what I've been screaming in the other thread, the over cautious attitude stemmed from incidents like Columbine and Sandy Hook...not 9/11.
But I'm sure this has some wheels spinning over in Afghanistan, Syria, or where the hell ever they're digging their holes in the ground these days.

You mean it was the whole following departmental protocol people cared about? Should police departments throw protocols and procedures out because your pc butthurt arse didn't like the kid going through that?

yes
people found it ludicrous that the kid was still booked after everyone knew it was just a clock
can people not find police department protocols ridiculous?
