138 Honda Prelude with mods. At that speed the engine blew up like a bomb and a piston shaft penetrated the block. This was on the basin bridge.
Had a random kid from the dorm tow me back and then he blew his engine. Had another buddy tow the rest of the way, the chain snapped on the MS river bridge.

A cop towed me the rest of the way (weights and measures officer)

None..

But I did get a DUI and brought out of the car at gun point ("Step out of the vehicle with your hands above your head!") because the cop thought I was trying to run when he saw me hit the on-ramp at ~90mph... I was just trying to get to Safeway in 10min but it was 15min away.

I blew a .08 and the girls I picked up at the bar were left on the street.

(Luckily, he didn't ever get radar on me, it was just "a high rate of speed")

This was all in 2004 and I was a stupid military kid.. I've grown up a lot since then... (I hope)

Freshman at Ole Miss, was in a caravan 4 or 5 cars, the lead car was a Corvette I think.
It was a Sunday morning, good weather with very little traffic... So not that dumb... but it was cool passing other cars like they were at a stand still.

I don't think Yeti coolers were a "fad" back then. None though, to answer your question.
