Spinoff: Can You Sue Pervy Robot Maker For Making Robot Of You?

Don't you have ownership of your likeness? I mean, if someone makes a robot of you and it clearly is modeled after you (say clear evidence that robot was made in your likeness) can't you sue the robot maker? What if robot maker sells the robots that look like you?

No one will use your likeness, so I don't see this as a problem for you.

I don't know. But if they could make a descent product, I would think the next step would be a celebrity bot. The celebrities would get a percentage obviously.

There is a huge difference between marketing and selling your likeness vs. some perv making something that looks like you for his own use.

They usually have to sign a release to use their likeness and typically there are lots and lots of specific rules about how their likeness can be used
