The American post had me thinking, when was the last attractive flight attendant you've seen? I saw one at the Dallas airport but she was on the Skytram, not my flight. Otherwise, seems talent is low on the priority scale at American.

Is it just American, or is this an industry wide problem?

Certainly haven't seen anything close to whats on their flight safety video. Pop that collar, sister.

American Airlines flight attendants rank up there with the likes of Alec Baldwin & Kamela Harris as an example of the most miserable people walking the earth at this particular moment in time.

in the US it is, and has been for decades thanks to lawyers, pc mentality, and an overall woke society

The last flight I had, we had an old black guy (I think). His skin was atually pretty gray...wasn't sure he was alive. Then he moved a couple times so I breathed a sigh of relief. Not very good on the PA either. I mean, you say the same thing 4 to 6 times a day, you'd think you could drop some personality in there.

The flight attendants when the wife and I fly to visit her family in Seattle are always the same:

Flamboyantly gay and while the mandates were in place, militant mask nazis who actually screamed at you if you so much as touched your mask.

It's obvious that everyone at AA hates their lives and that gets passed along to customers. Whether AA creates them or AA goes out and hires miserable 50 year old divorcee cat ladies, I don't know.

I am 39 and married so I really care more about their attitude and service than how attractive they are. I fly multiple airlines but have had some great experiences with American flight crews. The ones in business are extremely nice and helpful. Ones in economy could stand to improve some on some flights, but overall I think they are great.

I was flying back from Peru with my 3-year old son back in December and we had upgraded to business, which are the individual pods. They took such good care of him, as he was a little nervous about being across the aisle from me at first. They took him up to the flight deck and the 1st officer let him sit in his seat which blew my son away.

Another time, I was flying business back from San Francisco to OKC, and had a layover at LAX. Turns out the second leg's aircraft was the exact same with same crew. The FA had my drink ready in my seat before I boarded and at one point she sat beside me and just chilled with me--showing me pics of her kids etc. Showed me a pic of a time they had a pig on a flight.

I’m a Delta FA (straight white male) and there is a huge mix. There are a lot of old grandma types who have been there 30 plus year, but there are also a lot of young ones too. If you’re flying during the week, though, you’re gonna get the old ladies because they have the seniority to be off on weekends.

just get on any asian airlines.

You will never see a flight attendant chubby or over 35 over there. Sometimes discrimination yields the best product.

I never had a problem on Delta with this- you could take your mask completely off so long as "food was being consumed" (they were very liberal with this). I took one American flight in the last 2 years however and one guy slipped his mask down to take medicine and before he could even put the pill in his mouth the AA flight attendants were on him.

I don't think the job(flight attendant,) was ever intended to be a career, but after a while they get to the point to where the money's too good for them to leave(if they haven't trapped a wealthy first class passenger ) and they certainly can't make that kind of money doing anything else and they get jaded and miserable and it has created a very toxic culture among the old hags, and I guess since misery loves company they try to indoctrinate this culture with the new flight attendants, it's an ugly cycle

Amen. Flight attendants will complain about anything and everything. Actually this is pretty common amongst folks in the flight deck too. Must just be the lifestyle LOL
