re: Spin-off: what’s the worst Popeyes you’ve ever been to?

The one on Veterans (by Bonnabel) in Metairie is the worst Popeyes on the planet. Biscuits from this location go straight to the trash. The chicken pieces are always tiny.
My favorite is the Mandeville location right off the Causeway. Yet to have a bad meal there.

Worst is also the best - due to high turnover in fast food, the service there varied over time.

I was driving through Mississippi and stopped at a Popeyes in Jackson right off of the interstate. It was an eye opening experience.

My hometown in NW Mississippi. We went there after church once, and they refused to work, with the manager telling the customers to be more polite and wait until they’re done with their conversation. Haven’t eaten Popeyes since.

Just outside of Philadelphia. Service was great but the food was bland.

Burbank is the worst.
Transcontinental location in Metairie is my favorite

The old, now non-existent Popeye’s at Canal and Carrollton.
I’ll post a conversation that I had at the drive thru there, which I’ve posted here before:
“Welcome to Popeye’s can I take your order?”
“I’d like the shrimp sampler platter.”
“We’re out of shrimp.”
“Ok, let me have a 3-piece spicy white with onion rings”
“We’re out of onion rings.”
“Ok, same thing with red beans.”
“We don’t have any white meat chicken.”
-Sound of tires boiling off in the drive thru-
And I’ll add that I had this conversation at the same Popeye’s more than a couple of times, which is why I remember it. The last time I ended the exchange with “Thanks, I’ll go to the McDonald’s down the street and see if they’re out of f**king Big Macs.”

Starring lane.
I go the extra few miles to Burbank to avoid starring.

You could order just a cup of water at Burbank and they'd make you pull up.

I usually end up with an extra tender/biscuit or a frick ton of fries when I go to port Vincent.
I was wondering where the rest of my order went!

They have timers that register the drive thru times. When they have you pull forward, the timer stops for your car and starts for the one behind you.
Hence, they love to pull people over.

hmmm....must have built it in the last 48 hours - wasn't there Friday morning.

The one they had in New Roads. Well, I should say the two. First one was just shitty all around that lasted about two years. The second one, they built a new location. Same story.
Same thing happen at the Burger King due to shitty people running it. Someone else came in and rebuilt the store and it looks like they know how to run it.

The one when I was stationed in Panama wasn't that great. Thinking about it, the one in Germany wasn't all the great either. But it was fried chicken and reminded me of being back in the States. So it was all great to me.

Just finished eating in Rayville and it was the bomb. Tallulah is a shithole!

I thought the one in Tallulah was bad, but the one on Louisville in Monroe may be the worst fast food restaurant in Louisiana.
Great thread, as soon as I saw the title, I came here to post Louisville Ave in Monroe, but you beat me to it, it is nearly inedible. Believe it or not, the best Popeyes I’ve ever been to is in Leesville, may be the best restaurant in all of Cenla, which admittedly is not saying much.
