This is ridiculous. Tell your husband to tell your MIL you are sick and don't want to get anybody else sick. Common sense should always rule out over even a bitchy MIL. I just saw you will wear a mask. This is silly. Don't go, stay home and have tea and chicken noodle soup and make your husband bring you a plate.

The thing is...I'm going to see my parents no matter what tomorrow evening. This is the first Christmas since 2004 that I will actually spend with them. I know my parents would be ok with me staying home...but I know they are having an even worse holiday than me(dealing with flood stuff and my mom fell and broke her wrist this week) so I would like to spend some time with them tomorrow to try and cheer them up a little.
Otherwise I would just stay home. But if I go see my parents and not his parents...all hell will break loose I just know it. Just easier to suck it up and do what I have to do to get through the day.

I wish I were. I am going to my mom's for lunch and then I have another family thing later tomorrow evening. Its always feels forced.. Like "its Christmas, this is what we need to do" then you are around certain family members that you have to hold your tongue to be around.
