I drive the A2 to work everyday, I’ll keep a lookout for this bandit.

I thought the Autobahn was without a speed limit
It’s dynamic in some parts like where I am. Sometimes it will be on set usually around 130 kmh but the signs will switch off when conditions are right and then it’s go time.

A motorist was clocked driving at more than 320 kph (199 mph) on the Autobahn
So how fast was he going? Tree fitty? 1000? Why don't they just say what he was clocked at?

I'm just preserving the tradition.

I rode in a 96 Dodge Viper on the Autobahn and we hit 165 mph. Never doing that again.

I was reading about that- the dynamic speeds sound like a really neat idea!

I’m packing up at work now to head home for the day. Hoping the speed limit is turned off today on the A2!

I was on the Autobahn in the early 90s. There was no speed limit. They also have an automatic road condition warning that comes over the radio, even when your radio is turned off. The warning notification actually turns your radio on. Back in the early nineties, that was high tech. Freakin Germans....

That blows my mind... and I thought the LIDAR recognizing speed limit signs was cool!

The speed cameras on the autobahn are like nothing I've seen before. My son was driving his girlfriends lexus on the autobahn and he was mailed a speeding ticket with a picture that was incredibly clear.
Everyone except for my son had been blurred out. The detail in the picture even showed his stuble. The car was in his girlfriends name but he was listed as the driver. I assume it was facial recognition from his passport.

I just came here to post that when I was in high school I got a geriatric 1978 Toyota Corolla station wagon up to 85 mph on a long straightaway on a state highway.
Not impressed? Maybe you should be. Because that motherfricker was shaking like the Starship Enterprise going Warp 9.

I drove it last month in a big arse van, so I wasn't setting any records. Seemed like the speed limit changed or went away every 5 minutes, very annoying. But also, everyone was great about staying to the right, especially trucks. Wish the idiots in our country got this.
