Whenever they pull moves like this or moving TNF from the NFL network (which I already pay for) to Amazon prime, it just re-enforces that i don't need to watch so much sports and I find something else to do. My cable bill is high enough, I'm glad Spectrum is fighting it.

Spectrum is stupid expensive. I few years ago i signed on for cable and internet with them for about $150 a month which i think is high for a service that isnt used all that much in my household. Anyway after the 2 year contract was up, on that month it shot up to $180 and a few months later went to about 200. Left them and never looked back.

Spectrum did this to themselves. They are incredibly expensive. Switched to youtubetv. Better picture and sound quality at less than half the price.

I have spectrum internet for $50 a month with like 400 g/s. I love it.

They offered me a select tv package with like 25 channels for like $40 a month. I tried it out. I asked 3 different people if it came with SEC Network. They said it did if I added an $8 sports package. In my mind $48 is still better than the $75 I'm paying for YTTV. So tried it out. As soon as I login I get B1G and ACCN but no SECN. After 45 min on the phone they said I would have to go to a full package to get SECN. Then they tell me that there is a Broadcast Fee and the actual price per month would be $40 +$35. So I kindly told them to frick off.

I love how some operators advertise a low price, but then tack on an extra 35 dollars in fees as a Broadcast Fee and Regional Sports Fee.

The FCC should start mandating all cable operators to display their cost for each channel that makes up their line up. Some channels may cost even more than what is stated because local cable operators can sell commercials on some channels like ESPN and Fox News each hour.

Frick a free trial, I'm fully switching over today. I moved here 2 years ago and got Spectrum and there were sevearl "24 month discounts" I got at signup. All of them expire in October of 2023, so next month. Even if Spectrum didn't have this frickup and everythign remained as is, the cost for basic TV and internet would still dwarf what I'm going to end up apying for Spectrum internet + Youtube TV.

I'd considered cutting the cord for a while but this was the final straw to push me there.

Not one bit. I don’t understand how so many people are just that lazy and will continue paying for crap like this. Actually, it doesn’t surprise me how people are so lazy. But you have other options out there.

Not that I'm from the FED but I want to hear more about the illegal streams. This Boomer tired of the normal way to watch TV. I have a couple streaming services but you can't just watch what you want bc they say "it's not available at this time". That sucks just as bad as cable TV in my opinion. If I get streaming services I want to watch what I want to watch, not waiting for them to "make it available".
