Special ed does not mean retarded or down syndrome or whatever else. Could just mean stupid kids or kids with ADHD/ADD/dyslexia.
I choose to believe it was the latter in this case because the former shouldn't receive bail.

Being 22 she has to be her first year. My HS had the “fix” for this - youngest was probably late 30s (only a one year last minute fill in before year started) with every other teacher in 40s or 50s (or looked that way) and 50 to 100 pounds over weight.
Buys one a phone in January, getting one to skip classes, and then gives 3 students alcohol and has them all sleep over at her apartment. It’s like she wanted to get caught (just like Noem’s husband showing his full face without anything disguising him above the shoulders if the pics end up being real).

SPED classification can include students with all of the following: reading comprehension, poor eye sight, medical conditions, hard of hearing, anxiety, depression, heart conditions, etc. Not to defend her but there’s SPED and then there’s “SPED” if that makes sense.

Learning disabilities is the far majority of kids in special ed now. The districts have to pump up those fed and medicaid dollars.
It also looks like she could have been teaching a regular class as well, so along with other ways teachers interact with students the kids might not have even been in the special ed program. Regardless I would say there is a small to zero chance of them being mentally disabled, having downs, or anything similar to those.

Not leaving where she grew up for college, being right out to college at 22 years old, and then getting a job at her old high school seems like a bad combination.
