You (inadvertently) are insulting him by calling him a “former” Marine.

In the Marine Corps world, once a Marine, always a Marine. For their entire life. The only exception is a Marine with a less-than-honorable or dishonorable discharge. They are then former Marines.

It's not any different than TD getting worked up over a restaurant w their parking lot painted a certain way. But it happened.

It's all stupid.

She can likely skip a meal or one hundred and be just fine.

Because being offended is the quickest way to get attention.

Judging by this Jabba the Hutt looking behemoth, it would do her some good to pass up cafes more often

Totally different. One is a display about past history, one is a political pandering to try and promote their own racist agenda.

And the dem candidate for governor in Arizona dresses up as hitler regularly. No big deal. Dems say nazis are cool.

That’s just a new style crimson tide flag. Roll tide

Basically she’s too stupid to realize the Nazi flag was captured by American troops in WWII and is on display as a trophy of our victory.

Um, no. The question wasn't about what or how it's displayed but why people get worked up about stupid stuff. This woman got worked up about this. TD got worked up about a parking lot.

Both are stupid reactions. Make sense? I thought it made sense. Overreactions both.

I'm curious how much effort she needed to put into getting her car and phone into the perfect position to capture JUST those flags and none of the other WWII memorabilia that's up on the walls?

Although I think that most people that are “offended” are usually people seeking out attention, I think the restaurant may want to rethink how they display the flag. Maybe hanging it on a wall sends the wrong message and in today’s climate, you should probably have expected this. You’re going to run off customers for what? Principle of ‘Murica?

If it’s a nice piece of memorabilia, display it a different way. In a case, with a placard or something explaining what it is and why it’s there. Hanging it on the wall most definitely isn’t the correct way to go about doing it.

Meet me in New Orleans outside the WWII museum. I’ll pay your admission if you let me walk around with you and watch you sky scream and melt through the whole place.
