Off topic, but what is up with Dark Sky? Anyone know which model they use? Showing low 20’s next week but haven’t seen that anywhere else in model runs

It's not really possible to have a low of 22 and 25 in Baton Rouge if the high is 55 and 58.

Dude...
It’s happened frequently with an extended -NAO

I’m mainly referring to the times when we get a severe dip in the jet stream that takes us to near 20 degrees (or 14 in January 2018).

Inevitably, a few days later with all that sun and dry air, we’ll get up to mid 50s during the day and can hit mid 20s the following night with prime radiational cooling.

January 2010
January 2014
January 2016
January 2018

are some examples

All for it. In 5 months we’ll be wishing for january weather again. Can’t stand those who hate cold weather in Louisiana when I sweat my arse off 7 months out of the year

This past fall/winter weather will be wild up here if this snow plays out after two hurricanes this far inland last fall.

When I think back about this it’ll say I bet you don’t remember me and I’ll say only every other memory.

Lol...hope y’all get some snow. I follow the weather geeks in the Carolinas..quite the drama, clutching to each model run, breaking it down to IMBY snow totals.
I do like watching the amateur expert meteorologist..the gripping over model runs is hilarious. I live in the I-85 corridor which is a literal snow barrier...

Not sure why you say that. We have damn sure had days where it was 40 in the morning and 75 in the afternoon.
