Just when I was thinking about declaring for the Baptists. Doesn’t matter anyhow because my boys can swim.

I'm pro life but considering IVF as a sin is retarded.

A lot of religious people and conservatives view IVF as not good

They view it as as the commoditization of human life, while also denying infants their natural mother . It is being outlawed in many places now

The thought is logically consistent with those that believe life begins at conception

Find the verse and convert my thinking here, because I do not see it.

Think for a moment about the power to create a human life. The power of creation is sacred. Our power as humans to create a human life in the image of the Great Creator is very Holy and Divine. It's easy to see why. The power of creation is the power of God. Where in our Father God's creation (Mother Nature) do you see IVF?

This is as unnnatural as all the other stuff we all admonish in this, the month of June, in the year of our Lord, 2024...

Amen

I'm glad this is something I didn't have to worry about because when you bring science stuff like this to the table it creates a conudrum. The embryos that are frozen are fertilized and they can even tell you what sex it is, so that sounds like life starting to me. And they take several several eggs just in case the first few times do not work so if you're successful, what do you do with the other frozen embryos? you can actually donate them but then you have to deal with the fact that you will have a kid out there somewhere. It's messy for sure.

So technically, I didn't sin, the IVF facility did. Worst case, I was sin adjacent.

Maybe it is, maybe it’s not. But I’m not about to tell a woman she’s committing a mortal sin by attempting to bring a new life into this world by using IVF because she can’t get pregnant the traditional way.

I see where the SBC disagrees with, where does it say the SBC called it sin?

Just because the SBC disagrees with something doesn't make it a sin...
