South Stadium Club Seats

The old timer who has sat directly behind me since 1996 moved his tickets to the South Stadium Club this season. He just called to let me know he won't be there in North Endzone this year. Said he needed the AC or wouldn't be able to attend games anymore. What are yall's thoughts on the South Stadium Club seats? I've never sat there but heard food is included.... Also what is the price for season tickets?

They suck. They're way too far away from the field and they aren't covered.

If you like not watching the game and just staying inside to socialize and be seen it’s the spot for you.

Best seats out there. I've sat all over and the south side stadium seats are without question my favorite.

Won tickets through my wife's work once, and I have to say it was awesome! I never want to sit amongst the other peasants ever again.

so you had a conversation with him and not one of these questions you decided to ask him since he knows everything about it?

Sat there once, vs Arkansas 2019. The seats are great. The food is great. I never ate so much food at a game in my life. The crowd that sits around you though is blah at best. I’ve seen more excitement at a movie theater. Not many real fans sit there. These tickets are mostly used by CEO’s to entertain clients.

What about when it's raining and all the scoring happens in the North Endzone??

A vendor gave us tickets there for the Florida game last year. The complimentary food was good; it wasn't typical hamburger/hotdog game food.
Having a non-dungeon looking bathroom to piss in was a perk. I just don't like sitting in the endzones, where the action is either coming towards you or going away from you, making the game harder to follow.

I sat in the West Stadium Club a couple of times and felt the same way. It's cool if you are just taking some friends/clients and want to be comfortable and socialize. But I would never sit in either for a big game.

I went to a game in SSC once. I loved it! Probably the best value of anyupgraded seats.

Maybe free for her, but not for whoever paid for the ticket.

He hasn't sat there yet. He doesn't know if he'll like it or not. Thanks for your comment Mr. Keakar AssHat

Those who have made the jump (and stuck with it) will tell you it's great. I've sat in them and passed each year when they offer me the chance to move into them. IF they were truly so great, people wouldn't be moving from them at such a high rate as they are every year.

I have a chance to sit in them periodically and can tell you, it is an entirely different experience than sitting in my normal seats where the poor people sit:)
As I see it, it takes the place of both tailgating and the game. It opens several hours before the game with a cash bar and a multitude of “free” buffet options. Not fine dining, but reasonable quality food. They twist the theme of the food to offer some options based on the team you are playing…that is, if the opponent is Florida, there will be several alligator options. As another poster said, the bathrooms are very nice and have someone constantly cleaning in them. The whole affair is pretty plush by my country assed standards.
On the other side of the coin, I don’t care for the seats at all. They are endzone and too far from the fields, so I have trouble following the action. There are very few seats inside where you can actually see the field, so if you are inside, you are likely watching the game on a tv.. The whole thing is designed to do your socializing and eating (tailgating) inside and then watch the game from outside.
Price wise, I think the “donation” starts about $2500 per seat plus the cost of the ticket, so you can get into the $300-$400 per seat per game pretty quickly. Honestly, it’s a little too rich for my blood, but I always enjoy games when I sit there…particularly if it is raining or hot outside.
ETA: you would probably get more informed answers to this if it were moved to the rant.

Poor man’s suites
Too crowded
Sat there 3-4 times
Not unenjoyable….. just not same as east and west suites

I had tickets in the West Stadium Club from 2008-2015.
The seats are wider and more comfortable. You can also sit inside against the glass. They have TVs with other games. Bathrooms are nicer and less crowded. They have a buffet with decent Louisiana foods (gumbo, jambalaya, etouffe, boudin, etc.). There are also snacks, popcorn, ice cream, and sodas. There is a full bar for about $9 a drink.
Cost is 2500-3000 TAF donation plus face value of tickets. The TAF donation part counts toward priority points.
Is it worth it?
If you go out and eat and drink at a tailgate all day, probably not.
If you just want to watch the team/band come down the hill, watch the band at the TAF part, then go in the game, maybe worth it.
I got a call last week from LSU trying to get me to buy South Stadium Club tickets.

Sat there for the A&M game last year and now i switched from south endzone to south club. Don’t know if I’ll ever be able to go back to regular seats. I think a pair was $5800. The food was great, AC, TVs with different games on, bigger stadium seats, nice and clean bathrooms, staff was super nice, and opens earlier than other parts of the stadium. Can’t wait for the season to start
