Madisonville is too cute.

Mandeville is full of hooligans.

The rest are solid, but Metarie should be higher.

You could say this was a list of Louisiana’s worst cities and it would be just as accurate.

This place takes a 3 spot penalty for having to get home M-F afternoons.

Na, it’s number one. No one is moving out of Madisonville to somewhere else in Louisiana unless they are forced to.

Madisonville used to be the ugly duckling of the Triplex. Even as late as the 1990’s it was 40 years behind Covington and Mandeville in a good way. Tacky Beau Chene ruined it. BC residents didn’t realize why they’d get their asses kicked at the Wet Dock.

The IGA/Western Auto mall, Black Cat bar, ZIP Food Mart, Badeaux’s, the cemetery when it actually looked 150 years old, etc. Lots of history, good families, and fantastic access to outdoor activities.

This seems like an interesting Northshore cultural artifact. With your permission I'll print it out for preservation in the Leon "Chief" Sanders Library located on those bookshelves outside my laundry room.

Chalmette has a better restaurant scene. And by scene, I mean one restaurant that is badass.

St. Francsiville ought to be on there.
Not sure about Chalmette in most respects but the fishing access is hard to beat.

Houma is ok as well except it almost got wiped off the map by Ida.

And Scott - if for no other reason than all the specialty stores off I-10 (Exit 97 is GOAT).

Sorry about being jelly. You must live in north Louisiana. Or Denham Springs.
