After careful research, this is the updated 2021 power rankings.

1. Madisonville
2. Mandeville
3. Lafayette
4. Baton Rouge
5. Metarie
6. Covington
7. Chalmette
8. New Roads
9. New Orleans
10. Thibodaux

I don’t see Hackberry or Larose on your list. Too many cities on your list are located on, near, or north of I-10.

Madisonville used to be the ugly duckling of the Triplex. Even as late as the 1990’s it was 40 years behind Covington and Mandeville in a good way. Tacky Beau Chene ruined it. BC residents didn’t realize why they’d get their asses kicked at the Wet Dock.

The IGA/Western Auto mall, Black Cat bar, ZIP Food Mart, Badeaux’s, the cemetery when it actually looked 150 years old, etc. Lots of history, good families, and fantastic access to outdoor activities.
