Props to the officer.
In Mt. Pleasant, SC. Apparently, the driver had a seizure. The vehicle goes completely underwater near the end of the clip.

There's a pond near where I live. One cold February morning I went out for an errand. When I drove back there were some cars stopped and a police car. Apparently some older dude went off the road and launched into the middle of the pond Dukes of Hazard style. He drowned before anyone got to him.
I've wondered what I would have done had I left 10 minutes later and seen his car go into the freezing water. Would I have dove in and tried to save him. I think Mythbusters did an episode on what to do when a car goes in the water but I hadn't seen that at the time.

The female fire captain from LA thinks it’s that woman’s fault for getting herself into that position

Fortunately for the driver, our Southern brethren of the Lowcountry are of more noble character than the commie scum on the left coast.

Videos of people that go around looking for missing people in lakes and rivers showed up in my YouTube algorithm and I watched a few. I had no clue so many people have driven off the road and drowned in their car after it sank.
They have even been found on google earth photos:
People had literally been parking feet away from a sunken car with a body in it for years and didn't know it.

Get the windows down asap before the electrical system goes out. If it's already gone, bust a window. Once the door is underwater and the window is still closed, you ain't getting it open until pressure is equalized.
