Taking our annual trip 2nd week in June and can't wait. It will be the first trip for our 6 year old grand daughter. Using some of our 400K Ultimate travel points we have saved up to stay at the Animal Kingdom lodge this time.

Go in Mid October. This is a dead time at Disney. Lines will be short, so you can focus more on riding rides and not buying significantly marked up shite.

How so? It's already full of lazy overweight poor slobs.
But if it went from current prices to those prices, the trash level would go to an entire new level. I don't mind paying higher prices because of this.

You're right, just keep letting your kids sit in front the tv. I'm sure they are having a great childhood.
Ever stop to think that parents don't typically go for their enjoyment?

Agreed. I don't keep going back for me, it's for my kids. Yes we do the beach, mountains and other areas and they have a great time. But Disney is like magic to them. They will only experience it that way for so long, so yes I take them there.

Walt Disney wasn't a dummy. He knew people would spend thousands on his experience.
I took my daughter 3 times when she was little. I smiled and enjoyed watching her. But, I'm glad as hell I'll never go back.

I can't imagine how miserable your family is with you there.
Lol! No doubt! Your Fam should've left your sorry arse at home...of course it's expensive, but we had a blast & look forward to going back.

I've been twice, and while I had a decent time, I still don't get the giant attraction to the place.
Taking the family to Grand Cayman this summer, for probably less than a Disney trip would have been.

Pic of OP
And I mean the one on the right.
You sure are mad about the most nonsensical thing..
quote:
daily passes to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom are around $100 for adults, sometimes more depending on the season
Typically any single day pass at any theme park is pretty high , not just Disney. That's when you go the you stay longer than a day.. Price of admission drops considerably.
quote:
that's the hilarious part for these parks...they're malls, folks
I've been to a lot of shopping malls..This is a stupid comparison.
quote:
they pay $20 for a cheeseburger,
Not one place in the entire park sells a 20 buck burger..The 4 dollar water on the other hand..Yeah you're close..
quote:
and once you get inside, everything is marked up significantly
Have you been to any other tourist attraction?? It's not exactly a Disney thing..
quote:
but disney has shown that they literally give zero fricks about the quality of their parks.
This part is either your stupidest argument or a hint at elaborate trollin... I'll go with A for the sake of argument.
quote:
the mouse wants money
Well yeah that's how most businesses operate genius..
quote:
doesn't give a shite about enhancing the state of the parks. need proof? disney just invested tens of millions of dollars, not into epcot, not into outdated sections of the MK,
Wow...just wow.. The amount of things happening at the Parks pretty much negates this retarded argument..
While Disney is not for all there are some that do enjoy it.. Whether you serious or just trolling it's hard to tell. That being said if you don't like don't fricking go..

We took our kids pre-middle school. It was magical. Since then, moved to FL and have been back once or twice. Also Universal, which is also pretty amazing. Our 3 kids are now in their 30s and have kids of their own (oldest 2 are turning 4)... adds up to 5 grandkids for us. IMO all still too young to pay those obscene theme park admission prices. But contra OP, it's not just Disneyworld. It's all of them that are crazy expensive. Pirates are alive and well. Still, first times are still magical.
