This will be either 100% staged or some completely innocuous happenstance. Either way, we won't hear anything beyond this story. This will be the narrative forever.

No that identifies as art & it was a gift to stay on target and not to stray from the mission!
That’s what I see

I'll be honest, I'm not entirely sure what law would be broken if someone did do this. Trespassing, maybe? The guy called the cops to file a report, but he didn't seem like he was pushing them to really do anything about it from any of the reports I read.

Mostly I just love the idea of a cop calling it pretty cool. It's just dumb enough to sound real, going by the suburban cops I know.

I've never even seen a target made out of that strand like material. Is that an archery target or for some backyard game?

ETA: found it. Its for a backyard plastic ax throwing game.

Someone either jumped or entered a yard with a hurricane fence and put up this target.

They also were skilled enough to do it quietly without being heard also no one saw them do it.

Either these guys are skilled or this is a guy screaming victim to get attention also adding fuel to the fire.

I was already skeptical then he went full retard with this statement. He should have just stopped with planting the target.

Caldwell wrote that the officer just shrugged and said that he “thought the target was pretty cool.”

Was the target placed while he was out for some Subway?

Anything to find a reason to reach so hard that his shoulder can come out of socket.

Obviously that target is racist

A racist organization creates an 'issue' to stir up 'race' so that they can get attention in the news and maybe the race pimps can push more $$ to said racist organization (NAACP).

All the hoaxers have ruined it for people who may actually be a victim of a racist type threat.

If that target wasn't moved before the photo, "whoever" "put" it there probably didn't have to jump the fence. Looks like they could have just reached over the fence, set the easel holder deal, and then put the target on it. There would have been no need to jump the fence, if the target wasn't moved before the photo. It doesn't look that far from the fence, not like it is in the middle of the yard.

Detectives have identified Roy E. Brown, 63, as the man who placed a plastic target in the yard of NAACP President Keith Caldwell Sat afternoon. Brown said he has known Caldwell for years & thought the target resembled a flower that would look nice in Caldwell's yard...

The best part were the people on his Facebook. They wanted to do anything they could to help ie, send money. Even had the department investigate the conduct of the officer.

This guy is a huge dueche bag.
